The College’s Women’s Forum organised a vibrant and culturally enriching Navratri Celebration on 26th October,2023 to mark the auspicious occasion of Navratri. The event aimed to bring together students, faculty and staff to celebrate the essence of this significant Hindu Festival. The event took place in the college’s ground, which was beautifully adorned with festive lights and decorations. The atmosphere radiated a sense of joy and festivity.

The event began with prayer and aarti, invoking the blessings of Goddess Durga. The ritual was performed with devotion, setting a spiritual tone for the evening.

The presidential speech was given by our beloved Principal who provided insights to the significance of Navratri and its relevance in modern times.

All the participants, lecturers and staffs were encouraged to wear traditional attire, which added to the cultural ambiance of the event. The rest of the students wore uniforms. The highlight of the celebration was the lively Garba and Dandiya Raas dance performances students and faculty members participated with great enthusiasm, forming circles and dancing to the beats of traditional music.

The Navratri celebration provided an excellent opportunity for students, faculty and staff to interact and forge stronger bonds. Based on the positive feedbacks received, it is recommended that similar cultural celebrations be organised in the future to promote diversity and inclusivity within the college community.
