Our Library:

  1. The library will always be open from 5.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. except on Sunday and General Holidays.
  2. The issue counter will be closed half an hour before the closing of the library.

Membership:

  1. The membership of the College library is normally limited only to the staff and students of the College. But others too may be allowed the privilege of membership, subject to the conditions which may be prescribed by the Principal in each such case.
  2. Each student member of the Library will be given two borrower tickets and one identity card. On the production of these cards, two books could be borrowed from the library by him. These cards are not transferable and are valid only up to the last day of the second term. Their validity however  may be extended for the duration of the summer vacation   (subject to  the conditions which the Principal may prescribe in each case.)
  3. The student members should produce their identity card without demur, when they are asked to do so by any of the Library Staff at the issue counter.
The Library of our college is partially automated. We have licensed Easy Lib software provided by Easy Lib. The Library has an Advisory Committee which consists of four members which includes Principal, Librarian, two members from the faculty and staff.

The major responsibilities are:
Ø  To facilitate the smooth functioning of the library.
Ø   To give suggestions for bringing more efficiency in the functioning of the library.
Ø   To supervise and co-ordinate the working of the library.
Ø   To see that the fund allocated is properly utilized.
Ø   To give suggestions for the improvement of the library Preparation of Library Annual Budget.
Ø  To decide on the buying of new books.
Ø  To decide on the subscription of journals .
Ø  Stock Verification.

About Library

The college has 7200 square feet spacious and well furnished library with seating capacity of 200. More than hundred newspapers and magazines are made available to visitors. There are 29,203 books on various subjects and computerized circulation counter is made available for transaction of books.

Rules & Regulations

  • Identity Card is Compulsory for getting access to the library.
  •  Enter your name and Sign in the register kept at the entrance counter before entering Library.
  •  All kinds of personal belongings including textbooks are not allowed to be taken
    inside the Library. Library staffs are not responsible for reader’s personal belongings.
  •  Text books, printed materials and issued books are not allowed to be taken inside the Library, if you want to take should carry slip from circulation section.
  •  Mobile Phones are strictly prohibited in the Library premises.
  •  Silence to be maintained
  •  Each user would be provided with library cards for issue of books.
  •  Borrower cards are not transferable; the borrower is responsible for the books
    borrowed on his/her cards.
  •  Each student would be issued 4 books at a time for a period of 15 days.
  •  Reissue of books by a user may be allowed maximum once more after first issue.
  •  Failure to return books on Due-Date would compulsorily lead to penalty Rs: 2/- per
    day.
  •  In case a user loses a book he/she would have to replace the book or deposit two times the price of the book in the library.
  •  Borrower’s Cards should be returned at the end of Academic Year.
