The Women’s Forum and POSH Cell of Sri Poornaprajna Evening College, Udupi, organized a significant program on November 25, 2023, in commemoration of the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.” This event aimed to raise awareness and address the critical issue of violence against women under the theme “Stop Violence Against Women.”

Dr. Sukanya Mary J, the Principal of the college and President of the program, delivered remarks highlighting the significance of observing this international day. Her words underscored the college’s commitment to promoting a safe and respectful environment for women.

The resource person for the occasion, Mrs. Lavita D’ Souza, Coordinator of the Women’s Forum and POSH Cell, shared insights on the prevailing challenges faced by women and the role each individual plays in curbing violence and also about how to stop violence against women and girls. Her talk was enlightening and served as a call to action for the audience.
