Course Overview

Arts are an assorted stream which includes the study of Humanities and Social Sciences. Thus resulting in arts being the necessary tool to measure the development of a state, creativity and social structure at a point in time. Arts throughout the years have depicted the culture and history of mankind. Thus leading to the origin of arts dating back to the beginning of humanity resulting into arts translating tradition by depicting them informs of literature, music, dance, painting, scripture, movies and photography. After completing the 10 th , an aspirant may opt for the Arts stream and later take it up for their bachelor`s and master`s degree in arts specializing in a subject of their choice. The undergraduate courses are three year long and subject honour for one year.

Programme outcome for B.A.

We offer B.A. degree course with 3 major subjects History, Economics, Sociology and
languages English, Kannada/Sanskrit/Hindi. Further the two compulsory papers on Indian
Constitution and General Studies.
P.O. 1: Knowledge on Indian History, World Economy, Culture, evolution of Social and Cultural institutions,
& Indian and World Economy in the changed scenario.
P.O. 2 : Knowledge to analyse the socially relevant topics and to develop critical thinking.
P.O. 3: Improvement of vocabulary linguistics skills, and development of communicative
abilities.
P.O. 4: Giving Practical knowledge to the students on recent challenges of society by
conducting mini field research projects.

CO 1 : The students are acquiring the qualification to pursue B.Ed. degree to become
teachers in secondary schools.
CO 2: Acquiring qualification to pursue PG in Social Work, Business Administration and
Bachelor Degree in Law

The students seeking admission in our institution are enlightened over the programme outcomes and the usefulness of their course at the time of admission process. Further we conduct orientation programme for the newly admitted students before the beginning of the every academic year. The principal and HOD’s of all the departments enlighten the students over the programme outcomes of all the courses offered by the institutions.
