Women Empowerment Cell

The College has established a Women Empowerment Cell, to empower girl students, to enhance understanding of issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for women students with a view to taking up women’s issues and problems as per the guidelines of UGC, Affiliating University and Dept of Collegiate Education.

  1. To Maintain and strengthen the status of Women.
  2. To create awareness of feminine potential.
  3. To create social awareness about the problems of women and in particular regarding gender discrimination.
  4. To develop the self-confidence of Women.
  5. To guide about Women Welfare Laws and programmes.
  6. To assert the importance of spiritual, economic, social, racial and gender equality.
  7. To highlight Women’s role in the society.
  8. To develop multidisciplinary approach for the overall personality development.
  9. To organize seminars, workshops relating to overall development of women.
  10. To prevent sexual harassment and to promote general well-being of female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of the College.
  11. To provide and maintain a dignified, congenial working environment for women employees and students, where they can work, study and explore their potential to the fullest.
  12. Educating women according to the prospects of their profession and encouraging them to grow further in life.
  13. Motivating them to develop entrepreneurial skills thus making them self-dependent
