The Postgraduate Department of Commerce was established in 2015. Sri Poornaprajna Evening College is the only college in Udupi region offering M.Com programme in the evening duration. The department is recognized in the region as a prominent center for teaching and learning Commerce education. The students pursuing professional courses, bankers, teachers, and employees from organized and unorganized sectors find the programme feasible as it offered after the work hours. The Department has its own building with ICT-enabled classrooms. The Department is blended with the Experienced and Meritorious team of faculty and visiting professors from prominent institutions.
Upon the Completion Of the Course Students can Take Research as their area of interest & continue further studies.
The corporates prefer Post-Graduates while sharing Responsibilites, Under different Capacities as a Manager, Finance expert, Tax Consultant, etc.

CO 1 : M.Com degree serves as a foundation for further advanced studies and research in
this area such as Ph.D. and M.Phil. Degree in Commerce.
CO 2 : M.Com graduates can choose for further advanced studies and career in different specializations of Commerce such as in Statistics, Accounting & Finance, Insurance etc.
CO 3 : During Master’s degree in Commerce, a student can apply for the UGC-NET or JRF, KSET exam. After these exams, they can go for teaching or research area, Corporate Sector & engage in entrepreneurship
The students seeking admission in our institution are enlightened over the programme outcomes and the usefulness of their course at the time of admission process. Further we conduct orientation programme for the newly admitted students before the beginning of the every academic year.
