Sri Poornaprajna Evening College, Udupi hosted the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team on 23rd and 24th May 2024 as part of the institution’s periodic evaluation for accreditation. The esteemed team, comprising distinguished academicians and experts, conducted a comprehensive review of the college’s academic and administrative functions. Dr Dynandev Talule, Chairperson, Dr Nishithkumar Bhatt, Member Coordinator and Dr Vinay Kumar, Member were the estemed Peer-team members.
During their visit, the NAAC team engaged in extensive interactions with the college’s principal, faculty, administrative staff, and students. They also undertook a thorough tour of the campus facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and sports facilities. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the quality of education, infrastructure, student support services, and overall institutional performance.
The NAAC peer team praised the college for its strong academic performance, innovative teaching methods, and well-maintained infrastructure. They highlighted the institution’s effective student support services and active community engagement programs. However, the team also suggested areas for improvement, such as enhancing research activities, increasing industry collaborations, and integrating more advanced technological resources in the teaching-learning process.
The feedback and recommendations from the NAAC team were well-received by the college management. The principal expressed gratitude to the NAAC team for their insightful observations and constructive feedback, and reaffirmed the college’s commitment to implementing the suggested improvements to achieve higher standards of excellence.
