Student Scholarship

Fee Concession, freeships, scholarships and loan scholarships are granted strictly in accordance with rules prescribed by the Director of College Education or the Director of Social Welfare or the D.P.I. as the case may be.
The following is the list of such scholarships and freeships –
1. Scholarships for the blind, deaf and orthopedically handicapped.
2. Government of India Scholarship to students belonging to schedules Caste/Tribes.
3. Educational Concession to children/dependents of Service Personnel.
4. Government Scholarships to students whose parents have income less than Rs. 44,500-00 per annum.
5. University Merit Scholarship.
6. Government of India Scholarship for the non-Hindi speaking states for merited students.
7. Educational Concessions to the Children of political sufferers.
8. Educational Concession to the children of Government servants who die while in service.
9. Government of India Loan Scholarship.
10. Government of India National Merit Scholarship.
11. Government of India National Merit Scholarship for Teacher’s children.
12. Scholarship for children of ex-servicemen.

Endowment Prizes

Kidiyoor Nagalakshmi Srinivas Trust (R) Endowment Prize Scheme: This prize scheme, instituted by Sri V.R.Kidiyoor, the former Vice President of A.M.E.C. Udupi, is intended to promote excellence in studies of the several academic subjects taught in the college. Under this scheme.
a) There shall be two prizes, one to be awarded to the student of the College who secures the highest aggregate marks in the annual examinations of the First Year B.A. Degree Class who secures the highest aggregate marks in the Annual examinations of the First Year B.Com. Degree Class.
b) There shall be two prizes, one to be awarded to the student of the College who secures the highest aggregate marks in the Annual examination of the Second Year B.A. Degree Class, and the other to be awarded to the student of the College who secures the highest aggregate marks in the Annual examinations of the Second Year B.Com. Degree Class.
c) Each student of the College studying in the Final Year Degree Class securing the highest marks in each subject of examination conducted by the College prior to the College Day shall be awarded a prize. In case more than one examination is conducted by the College prior to the College Day, the marks obtained in these examinations in each subject shall be aggregated for the purpose of awarding prizes.
d) In the case of First and Second Year Degree Classes, a student, in order to be eligible for the award of the prize, must have passed in all the prescribed subjects of examination in one attempt.
e) In the case of Final Year Degree Class, the student, in order to be eligible for the award of prize, must have secured not less than 60% marks in the particular subject for which the prize is prescribed.
f) In case of two or more students securing the same number of marks, the prize shall be distributed amongst them equally. The prizes under the above scheme will be distributed normally at the annual College Day function.
Mangalore Jewellers & Mangalore Pearls World Endowment Prizes : Under this prize scheme, there are six prizes to be awarded to the students of degree classes who secure the highest total marks in the examination conducted by the College during the year, prior to the College Day. A student to be eligible to get this prize must have passed in all the papers in the concerned examination.
Gautham Shetty Memorial Endowment Prize: There shall be two prizes each for III B.A. & III B.Com. for students securing highest marks in University Examinations.
U. S. Nayak Memorial Charitable Trust – Endowment prize: To be awarded to Toppers in University B.A./B.Com/B.B.M. Exminations of the previous year.
Smt. Sunanda Paniyadi Endowment prize: To be awarded to 3 Students who were top scorers in University B.A./B.Com//B.B.M. Exminations of the previous year and to one more student at the Principal’s direction in consideration of merit and the economic status of the awardee
