YRC / Red Ribbon
There are two N.S.S. Units in the college and the Units are headed by able officers. The Unit intake is 100 each and they are open to both men and women students of the college. Programs under the auspices of the Units include community service, adult education drive, environmental awareness, tree plantation and public health. The Units hold weekend camps in addition to one annual special 07-day camp. In these camps, students work on projects involving manual service. These camps also provide the volunteers with opportunities for developing their latent talents and thus contribute to their personality development.
ELC
The institution established an Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) in 2019, as per the statutory guidelines. The club is led by the Principal as the chairperson, a faculty member as the coordinator, and two students as campus ambassadors. All the onroll students of the Academic Year are members of the club.
The primary focus of the ELC is to raise awareness among the student community and the faculty about their democratic rights, with a specific emphasis on participating in elections by casting votes.
The club functions with the following goals:
1. Educating the targeted populations about voter registration and the electoral process.
2. Cultivating a culture of active electoral participation.
3. Facilitating voter registration for those who are not yet registered.
4. Helping the target audience understand the significance of their individual votes.
5. Familiarizing the targeted youth with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), the tender vote process, and other constitutional rights.
