ABOUT PG CENTER

Since its inception, the College has been providing excellent opportunities to continue college education to all those who, for various reasons, are unable to avail themselves of such opportunities offered by Day Colleges. Many graduates in Commerce and Business Management and other professionals in their respective fields in Udupi district have a strong urge to pursue their studies leading to a post graduate degree in Commerce by attending evening classes. Presently, the programme leading to M. Com. Evening Course is not available in any Institute affiliated to Mangalore University in Udupi Dist. Sri Poornaprajna Evening College is endowed with necessary infrastructure and other facilities required for starting M.Com. Course and is eminently capable of running the Course in accordance with University guidelines, with its experience of 50 years in the field of college education.

OBJECTIVES

The objective of the M.Com Programme is to develop commerce professionals with specialised skills and applied competencies in theoretical and practical knowledge of Accounting and Taxation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. The aim of the P.G Center is to cater to the needs of industry and academia by training and equipping the postgraduate students with critical and cognitive thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

The commerce stream has witnessed a sea change over the past decades, especially in the area of professional accounting, Banking technology, and Management. Career options as domain experts in accounting and taxation, banking and logistics have emerged prominently in recent years.
